Cornwall is pretty much its own little country within England and even has its own language (Cornish). It is known for being very rural and for its surfing and wonderful coastline, but this terrain also lends itself perfectly to some beautiful and exciting golf courses too such as Merlin Golf and Country Club. Situated on the North Cornish Coast it features amazing views out to sea and is situated on a hill top heathland meaning you can also see out across the rest of Cornwall. The course itself is nicely approachable to those who are still honing their skills thanks to the lack of long carries, but still has an element of challenge to it. There’s also a great country club here and plenty of beer to make this a great place to come to relax.
Fulwell Golf Club

If you’re heading to England for business then chances are you will be staying near London. It’s for that reason that you might well want to visit Fulwell which is conveniently located just two miles from Twickenham rugby stadium. It has two separate 18 hole layouts and has large generous tree lined fairways and some deep rough and excellent greens. It has a great signature hole too – a 165 yard ninth hole which requires you to tee off over water to land on a green surrounded by four bunkers.

Scotland is known for its beautiful mountain ranges and generally fantastic scenery so it’s no surprise that you can find some stunning golf courses in the country. One of the finest to check out is Trump International Golf Links which Donald Trump has declared the greatest course in the world, thanks probably to its beautiful seashore setting and its mix of amazing par-3s, technical par-4s, and some very long par-5s that feature thin fairways.
The Vale Resort

And now to Wales for the Vale Resort, situated in 650 acres of famously beautiful Welsh countryside and well known as one of the best in the country. This was once part of Hensol Castle Estate which is a huge stately home that’s well worth a visit itself (and offers a great place to stay), and today is home to two separate courses. If you love golf then this is a fantastic place to come and stay so that you can also enjoy lessons, the 16-bay floodlit driving range, some putting greens, lots of buggies for your convenience and a comprehensive golf shop.
